Every transformation starts with intention. To ensure your results are as flawless and long-lasting as possible, please follow these essential steps in the days leading up to your treatment. This is your time to prepare, nourish, and honour your skin.

Semi Permanent Makeup
7 Days Before

Pause active skincare: Avoid retinol, glycolic acid, and exfoliants on the treatment area.

No tanning or sunbeds: Let your natural skin tone shine through for accurate pigment matching.
​
Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin supple and receptive.
​​
Have your brows shaped.
IMPORTANT
For Lip Clients: If you have ever had a cold sore (even in childhood), a preventative antiviral medication (like acyclovir) is required one week before, and one week after treatment. This is to prevent an outbreak. Go to your GP or Superdrug online.

No lip fillers two weeks prior to treatment.
Treatment Day
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and aspirin: These can thin the blood and increase sensitivity or bruising.​
​​
No waxing, threading or tinting: Let your natural shape and tone guide the design process.
​
Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin supple and receptive
​
Arrive with clean skin: No makeup, oils, or skincare on the treatment area.
​
Dress comfortably and have something light to eat.

Facials
Do not have any other facial treatments (peels, dermaplaning, laser, LED, facials)
Avoid Botox or filler within 2 weeks of microneedling
Avoid semi‑permanent makeup on brows or lips within 2–4 weeks (depending on healing stage)​
7 Days Before

Avoid sun exposure and sunbeds, and no self tan on the face.
​​
Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin supple and receptive.

No facial waxing, threading or depilatory creams.

IMPORTANT
Acne Treatments: Pause any strong acne treatments unless medically required.

Aftercare
Your treatment doesn’t end when you leave the chair, it continues in the days that follow. Proper aftercare is essential to protect your results, support healing, and ensure your brows or lips settle beautifully.

By following the recommended steps, you’ll help your pigment last longer, reduce the risk of irritation, and maintain the flawless finish you came in for. It’s a small commitment that makes a big difference.

Aftercare

Results build gradually, best outcomes are seen with a course of treatments
0-24 hours

Expect redness, warmth, and tightness similar to mild sunburn

Avoid touching your face unnecessarily

No makeup, SPF, or skincare products unless provided by your practitioner

Avoid sweating, gyms, saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers

Do not apply ice packs or anti‑inflammatory creams

Change your pillowcase before bed

24-48 hours

Redness should begin to settle

Use only gentle, hydrating products recommended by your practitioner

Avoid active skincare: retinol, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C, scrubs

No makeup until the 24‑hour mark has fully passed

Continue avoiding heat, sweating, and intense exercise

Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and any environments that may introduce bacteria

Keep skin moisturised and protected
48 hours - 7 Days

Mild dryness or flaking may occur — do not pick or exfoliate

Continue using gentle, hydrating skincare only

Avoid active ingredients for at least 5–7 days

Introduce SPF once the skin is no longer sensitive (usually after 48 hours)

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self‑tan

Avoid facial waxing, peels, dermaplaning, or any other aesthetic treatments

Avoid SPMU touch‑ups until fully healed and advised by your practitioner
